Afraid of pain

Hey Justin!

I just watched a movie called I (heart) Huckabees.

It was about "existential" stuff meaning the characters and the theme of the movie talked a lot about "human existence". You know, like who am I, why am I here...the unanswerable questions.

There were some things I wanted to share with you.

The Bible says-we shouldn't spend too time worrying about questions we can't answer.

Don’t waste time on arguing unimportant points or unanswerable questions! Titus 3:9, NIV. "Avoid foolish controversies and genealogies and arguments and quarrels, because these are unprofitable and useless."

But asking questions is important. Seeking answers is a true joy in life, finding them would be a disapointment.

And in the movie, I was reminded that I shouldn't try and hide from my hurts and fears. I spend too much time pretending I'm not afraid and not hurt. But talking with people I really trust about how I really feel helps me to understand my self and my feelings better. Then I don't have to pretend. I can just be me.

Thanks for letting me share with your bro. I love you!
